Guys/Gals,

Does anyone know if an undertail exhaust can be fabricated for the 54? I have a few plans for the bike when I get to Alaska. I think I've seen one on here somewhere but I've been bashing my brain adn this website trying to find it and haven't yet. The second question is, do you think I could get Yoshi to create something like that if I gave them the specs and drawings to support the fabrication? I've got a lot of friends in sheet metal work that could get some drawing specs to the company if they would support it. Has anyone gone this route and what was the total cost in this? Thanks all.

I had looked into it myself actually. A local bike builder was gonna do it for me for $250. That was fabbing a pipe from the header up to the tail, and i had to take care of figuring out hangers.I highly doubt a big name company would do that for you though.

 

Hey thanks TK. At some point I would like to have this done if possible. Have you called the companies up and requested such a thing? I've noticed occasionally that a phone call works better than E-Mail or customer service, however I think you're probably right as far as big companies dealing with small fries. This individual you talked to, could he use your measurements to fabricate the exhaust for my bike, an 02, and ship to me? Will I have to get rid of my undertail kit? Ton of questions, but thanks for the quick response and I'm glad someone else has looked into this. I would love to see a 954 with this mod on it. Any one got Pics?

Someone around the corner from me has a 954 with an undertail that was offered in the past... Dont remeber who made it, but if you can find pictures of it you could take it to a good edxhaust guy with your bike and have him make one

I took my bike to him with my undertail off, and told him i was going to mount duel round cans underneath. He looked my bike over and quoted me $250 and leave him my bike for a day. There were no measurements, he was just gonna fab it up on the go.

Excellent replies, pics, and advice to you all. As far as wolf is concerned, I'mnot sure if that's the look I'm looking for. I will E-Mail them about some specifics, but I did ask for an undertail system and you guys delivered a always! Thanks again!
