im just about done installing a new engine for my first time and about to turn the key!! but two things concern me. one is i have a extra ground cable i believe not attached to anything and another thats just attached to the starter, i do not know where the other one goes or where the other end of the started ground goes, i also have a fuel tank air vent hose that comes down to a T one goes to the bottom of the bike but idk where the other line goes HELP PLEASE

 

I believe the other vent goes toward the back, not sure bout the other ground cable but can check my service manual when I get home. Keep in mind that repressurizing the fuel lines can be a real bitch. Took me a while to restart mine in June when I installed my new tranny. You will have to prop the fuel tank up and take the air box cover off, and spray ether in there

 

well i was able to start the bike. i dont think there is two ground wires on the bike just the ones from the battery to the starter. but with the vent hose i know one goes back to the back along with the over flow hose but there is another hose coming off of the vent hose that idk where it goes.

 

I believe the other vent hose goes straight down behind the motor and hangs to the bottom of the motor if I remember right. As far as the ground wire, I only remember my bike having one too
