11000 rpm and just drop the clutch. lol ive been very conservative on my 954 so far and most i have done is rev about 3-4grand and ease off the clutch and with it down geared it will still pop the front end if get into it a little too much. will be putting back to stock rear sprocket and -1 in the front this weekend or next and see how different it is like that. Might be able to get more controlable starts then.
Haha, yes lets make clear that dumping the clutch @11000rpm is not a good idea. unless your trying to convince your wife that you need new fairings... and tailbone. Skarocka said it, practice makes perfect.
I dont dump the clutch, seen to many clutches needing to be replaced after their run. I like to get to about 5 g and slip the hell outta the clutch. 1st time on the track ever running the 8th(they closed the 1/4 due to alot of wrecks), i was consistent at around 7.1 give or take a tenth. Also i dont clutchless shift either, for some reason I cant do it im just so use to clutching.
I like to be at about 3-4k and i release it farily quick while rolling into the throttle. In my experience i ran better times getting the clutch disengaged as quick as possible and being on the gas. As opposed to slipping the clutch halfway thru first to keep the tire down. However as stated above, lots of practice.
i goose the throttle with the clutch in, then let out the clutch, and tickle the trottle till i'm moving fast and still on 2.
i beat a hyundai sonata with that technique...it was close though

. u need to figure out what rpm is best for YOUR bike to start off. each bike is a little differant. as far as the clutch goes, i slide off the clutch while rolling into the the throttle. popping the clutch out increases the chances of awheelie. its pretty basic once u try a few times. take your time learning andgood luck.
