Default Hondas top speed spec. for STOCK 954??

I know everyone is screaming at the sight of this post, but give me a chance. First off I have no reason to go 160mph or however fast a stock 954 will go. I was just doing a little research and was curious about how fast a STOCK 954rr will go (mph) it is pointless to ask about modified due to the limited number of mods. I know it sounds like a “squid” question but I have no intention to do this myself I was just curious as to what Honda or other co. may have said the top speed was. I figured somewhere around 160ish but just wondering if anyone had any thoughts.

Honda says 176 mph,but reallisticly I would say 165 depending on riders weight and size.

I've had mine at 160mph in 5th at about 10,000rpm, all stock with a D&D bolt on - I did buy it used so the gearing may not be stock -

The specs that I've read are -

top speed 175,

0-60 in 3 sec.

1/4 mile time 9.88 at 135mph

99.9% of people would gear it down to be more torquey rather then having a higher top end speed. Its easy to check if you have stock gearing, go count the sprockets. Think its 16/43

thanks Lepperfish, I plan on doing just that, I really don't need 70 in first gear

stock gearing will get you closer to 100 mph in 1st.

I've ordered 15/45 steel sprockets - should give me more get it off the line and out of the corners, I'm not doing any racing for now so I wanted the durability over a few ozs. of weight - I'm also going to 520mm for a bit smoother turnover, plus it saves a pretty good chunk of change - thanks
