Are your battery connections clean and tight? Check the grounds too, especially the main ground on the other end of the negative cable.

Start wiggling the harness and connectors and see if things light up.

i'd say it's in the ignition connection or start switch

I have the same exact problem with my bike... All my connection are tight Try taking the high beam fuse out and the one for the gauges... This should turn the FP back on. Read my post same problem

so i started taking a look at the bike yesterday and i did find the source of the problem possibly but i ran out of time to go into further detail... In the front of the gauges toward the right hand side... there is a yellow looking connector with several black wires with two grey stripes on it... this connector was slightly burnt that i could see... i think this is causing the short... the only reason i noticed it was cause the tape on outside of it was burnt... this is what i found so far i would start there... not sure if i can get to it in the next couple of days but if i do ill let you know and if you could do the same it would be appreciated

No just stock head lights. I just cut that yellow connector off and spliced all the ground wires together and it works just great now. The bike is back in action... The yellow connector that I talked about looked a little worse then the one you posted on my thread
