fuel shutoff/reserve valve?
Just bought my 954 this week, so I don't know everything about it yet. I'm used to having a fuel shutoff valve (well, at least a "reserve", do the 954's have one? I looked briefly but didn't see one. How do you know when you are low on fuel, just the odometer? How many mile can you normally get on a tank? Is there a low fuel light?
Thanks!
Thanks!

RE: fuel shutoff/reserve valve?
Ok, how much is normally left in the tank when the yellow light comes on? I assume by fuel pump cutoff switch you mean the kill switch?
I know mileage all depends how you ride, but what's a low/high mileage per tank?
Also, I assume you have to run premium fuel? I didn't get a book or anything with the bike as you can tell...

RE: fuel shutoff/reserve valve?
I average about 150-160 miles to a tank. Unless I really abuse her, and then she'll give me 110-120.
Found the specs for the fuel tank. There is a 0.9 gallon reserve when the light comes on.

^ that is strange, ill have to try out 87 sometime.
just to add my .02, i typically ride a mix between highway and city and get about 130-140 consistently before the light comes on. that with a -1 front sprocket, which makes it read slightly more miles than what have actually been covered i believe, can anyone second that?

Yeah it is strange but true.I heard on this forum someplace about how our bikes are designed to use 87.I had always used supreme until recently when I had to commute and tried it out.I have -1 +2 sprockets with the speedo healer installed and thats what I came up with.
