Default freestyle ingenuity cage - problems fitting

Well I finally decided to cage my bike. I talked to Freestyle Ingenuity and they gave me a good deal on one of their cages. I got it friday and went to install it yesterday. The problem I'm having is that the lower loop is not clearing my exhaust. I am not able to connect the side struts to the loop because the loop is hitting the exhaust from the bottom before it comesback far enough to bolt up tothe side struts.

Is anyone else running a freestyle cage on their 54? I talked to the guys at freestyle and they had me measure the pieces. They said I have the correct parts. They suggested loosening the exhaust mounting bolt and trying to raise the exhaust a bit. I havent tried this yet but I dont think its going to give me enough clearance. Anyone else experienced this?

well first question do you still have the stock exhaust on the bike? if so, then take pictures and send it to the guys at freestyle to show them what you're talking about after you hike up the exhaust the 20 mm or so you'll get by sliding it up the bolts

Yes it is stock exhaust, except for a hindle slip on. I will try adjusting the exhaust tomorrow and see if that works. Honestly I didnt think I would get that much movement out of it. 20mm might just be enough. Ill keep you all posted.

Well I played with it again tonight and I actually got it all to bolt up. The only problem is that the lower loop is pushing against the exhaust from the bottom. I will talk to freestyle ingenuity tomorrow and see if this is how its supposed to be. I just dont like the idea of it being up against the exhaustbecause if the loop doesflex when the bike falls, it will move the exhaust. Anyway I took some quick pics for you guys to check out.

That looks awesome. I want to get on. I know that the cage will save me bike in a low side better than sliders will.

does anyone know if there are any adverse effects of a cage. How much do they weigh? Will they get in the way at the track?

Also, cleansho93, thanks for posting those pics. I think you have the best pics of that cage on the 954 on the internet.

I just looked at freestyle ingenuity's website and the cage that they have a pic of for the 954 is different than cleansho's. Was there a redesign? When I order how do I guarentee that I get the one that cleansho has?
