try to find the flat, if it is the tread area it can be patched but me personally do not like to risk something like that, i would try to find the problem and then determine if u should buy a new tire.. take it to tire shop if need me, then keep it as a spare till get new tire

That's what I was thinking, maybe an ex-girlfriend or pissed off neighbor that has to listen to you ride when his wife has him driving the mini van.
Try different air pressure to see if it's a small leak that only leaks when it's at/near a certain psi. For example, holds air at 35 psi and only leaks when you warm the tire up while riding.

Otherwise, plugging the tyre anywhere other than the sidewall is a reliable solution if done by a pro. We have guys who've gone on to wear their tyre out while plugged.
