Default Exhaust valve wired open?? Your thoughts

So I am rebuilding my blakc and red 54. Th exhaust valve is wired open on it, common. I am thinking about just unbolting it and welding some pipe in there or make a bolt in piece. I was wondering what you guys think about the bolt in piece idea. Does anyone make one? Would anyone be interested in one if I make some up?

i have seen them for sale before.. but that was a long long time ago.
i wonder if you would actually see a noticeable horsepower gain..plus i dont really run the crap out of my bike plus do alot of 2 up riding.
so i could almost use all the mids i can get around 4000-8000 range. but yes keep us informed . i think about that all the time

Just ride the bike.

If the 954 does not have enough power for your street riding then you are nuts.

Messing with the HTEV is not going to help you or the bike.

If you are really craving a few more HP then get a Arrow full system and have your bike DYNO tuned.
