Default Engine start problems, clutch?

Hi, I am new here. I shoulda posted on the newbie board first, but I didnt. I just got a damaged CBR 954rr that was all in working order. The clutch cable is broken, but I think that everything else on the bike is sound. If the bike is in neutral, will it start without having to pull the clutch? Lol, silly question, but I would really like to know. The engine is definitly turning over when I hit the starter, but sounds like no gas to start with.

Does the fuel pump kick on? It will start without pulling the clutch in.

If the clutch cable is broken then there must be other damage..

Have you checked the clutch safety switch? Wiring? Tip over kill switch? Side stand safety switch?
*cough* run/kill switch..

If the bike is damaged don't overlook the simple things that should function normally.

if he said the bike sounds like it is turning over than i dont think those switches can be bad becasue the bike would not be making any sound/attempt to turn over..... i dont think.

when the bike is in neutral you should be able to start your bike, i know i can start mine without havin the clutch in.
