Default engine cleaning...

my bike is getting the full service tomorrow. I'm sick of how its been running this week. Im thinking of kerosene in the crankcase for a heat cycle. Then I want to toss some water down the velocity stacks. Then new plugs, new oil, new filter, new air filter, and a detail job and she should be like new.

What does everyone else do for some spring cleaning?

that sounds involved. dont know much about internal cleaning for bikes, works for car motors. So i guess it should work on the bike. Hopefully there is someone out there that has done it? And knows whats up.

run a can of sea foam though it.. and i hope you are doing this service yourself because it's all very easy and you will pay about 500 bucks at a dealership

I understand Kerosene is great for cleaning, what do you mean a heat cycle through your crankcase? Like, running the bike with Kerosene in it or what?

Yep. Thats how I clean my engines. Pour some kereosene in and run them until they are hot. Then do an oil change.

Well I decided to go get some seafoam. Anyone know where to find a good vacuum line to pour it into?

seafoam can go into anything that touches the engine, anywhere. It is just a concentrate petroleum product.

And my question still stands: Does anyone know of a good vacuum line to use. Maybe I am going to have to bust out the service manual.
