I just got my valves adjusted @ 27k and my mechanic took it out for a test ride and came back with the biggest smile and said that the my bike is one of the strongest engines he has ever ridden. But then I have always taken great care of my bikes.

$3800 is a good deal. Just check it out thoroughly. Make sure it hasn't been abused.

check all the normal stuff. forkseals, subframe, engine covers for leaks replacment ect. bar ends, lever. Fork tubes. look under new rider area and i believe there is a sticky of a check list for buying a new bike, very helpful.
