Exclamation Is this a descent deal for this 954RR??

2002 954RR Black with Red Accents.. 18,900 Miles, new tires, undertail, flush mounts up front, tinted windscreen, frame sliders, "Never Been Down", akrapovic Slip on. Doesn't seem to be any fairing damage from what i can tell in the pics.. i'm going to look @ it this saturday and potentially come home with it.. $3800 I'm new to 954's.. i currently have an F4i.. and dont know how they hold their values.. and not sure how much one of this condition should cost.. any input or what to look for would be helpful.. Thanks in advance. BTW.. he's firm on the 3800.. said he doesn't want to take any less..

I still see nice ones all the time going from $4500 to $5500 in very nice shape. IMO $3800 is a fair price if its nice. The miles arent that high and these bikes do hold a good value yet. If you like it i would not be ashamed to pay that price. Its not a super great deal, but its a good price.

just the standard numbers, fork seals. passenger pegs are a good give away if its slid or not. For some reason on " never been down " bikes there are always scrapes on them.

Check the front fender,if has been stunted or likes riding wheelies, there will be some damaged on top of the fender from coming down hard.

Nothing rele different from the F4i. Keep a eye on the cct and the fork seals if its been stunted ALOT. I personally have never had problems with them on my 954s. Just treat her how she should be treated and she'll do you good. ENJOY. Btw 3800 for a CLEAN 954, with almost 19k miles isnt too bad... I personally wouldnt buy it unless it is almost perfect. I have never bought a sportbike with more than 7k miles. And i like em stock. So i can fix them the way i want! but thats just me.
