D&D carbon can shorty
After seeing TK's cutdown Jardine, I am thinking of doing the same to my D&D. I am thinking of taking 6-7 inches out of it. I was curious if anyone else had done this with a D&D. It is already loud. I was wondering if it would be borderline rediculous? Also, is there problems with carbon fiber splintering or fraying due to the cutting?
Thx

The carbon will hold up fine. I masked mine off and cut it with a sawsall. Just make sure you take an end off first and remove the packing and screen, then the carbon will cut like butter.

Oh. it ain't like I don't have the tools, got a full wood and metal shop, I plan on running that bad boy through the metal bandsaw, just like butter. I've cut down cans before too, and I've read about the masking tape trick. The process I'm sure of, I've just never seen pictures of the "end result"
Here is the final product. I am still trying to decide if it is too loud
I also have not decided about remounting the badge on the can.
