Default crank, no fuel, no start

Recently did valve job put everything back together following the manual to the T, tried to start it, it cranked over but did not start. Followed trouble shooting from the manual, there is spark, compression, when i jumped the fuel injectors they all sprayed, but when i tried to crank there was no spray and the MIL light blinks 19 times indicating ignition pulse generator. I dont know whether to follow the igp MIL or look elsewhere for reason fuel injectors arent spraying while I crank. Anybody have an idea of whats going on?

is the camshaft sensor plugged in? it comes off the head by the radiator fan, and plugs into the wiring subharness that also has the ignition wires on them.

i'm guessing that something isn't plugged in

I accidently plugged cylinder 1 coil connector to cylinder 2 and vice-versa. I corrected the problem, but then the MIL was already on, I think the computer thought the Ignition pulse generator was wrong. Book says code 19 is failsafe bike wont run. Im going to connect everything properly, and reset code, hopefully that fixes it. Does anybody know if bike should start with the code blinking or does it have to be reset? Btw, compression dry test is at 150 pounds cold, dont think timings off. Thanks for advice.

MIL resets itself once the code is gone

if everything is plugged in right, then it'll go away, you don't have to do anything

Rechecked timing, made sure all spark plugs were good, and all wire connected correctly. I cranked engine with plugs out and grounded to check for spark and saw fuel spraying, so I put plugs in and it fired up....relief..... first time doing these shim valves; i thought I ruined my engine. I still have to put airbox back and everthing else, but signs of life are good. Be a shame if I ruined my own engine; I'm ASE certified engine repair, then again its just a written test.

That's why it sounded like your timing was out - it was !

Timing was out, besides the coil connectors. One tooth on the intake. I cant see the intake marks for the life of me, but with using a mirror and turning it 180 to see the marks line up half way around, I finally got it. I appreciate the help, you guys were right on with what info I gave. Btw, how and why a flapper mod?

because it's pointless, it adds stress to the servo motor, and it takes a lot more time getting the airbox off when you have that dumb flapper.
