Clutch Slipping?
I was riding today and my clutch seems to be slipping a few months ago my friend adjusted my clutch lever, the little piece that can spin he said to loosen that and it will tighten the lever so I did, when riding today I noticed it slipping pretty bad under accl the rpms would go up but it wouldn't go anywhere.. I tried spinning that little screw near the lever all the way back in but then the lever was lose it didn't seem to slip after I turned it off for a bit, but the lever is to loose when the screw is all the way in and engages very fast or if I have the screw out the lever is tight but the clutch seems to slip or it may be slipping either way, any ideas?
there's a pic of the adjuster near the clutch lever.

It seems even if I loosen it to tighten the lever, there is still play in the clutch cable and the lever doesn't fully go back into place.
Anyone?

The cable adjustment should be so there is a little free play. If it's too tight, the clutch will disengaged a bit all the time and can make it slip and eventually burn it up.
If you have it adjusted properly and it still slips, the clutch is toast.
Make sure you are using engine oil that is compatible with wet clutches.

How do I adjust the cable, when just adjusting the spinner near the clutch lever it never seems to tighten it enough, and if it does it disengages to late on the clutch and i have to end up spinning the thing almost until it's off so something isnt right.
There is adjustment on the motor side as well. Take up some slack there then fine tune it at the lever. If it doesn't return right, disconnect both ends and see if the cable slides freely. Your cable may be frayed inside and getting ready to break.
The cable is a fixed length. You make the housing it slides in longer to tighten it up.
Now that you're really confused...
After you checked to make sure it slides good, and maybe lubed it up, screw in the handlebar adjuster almost all the way in. Adjust it by the bottom and get it close but not tight. Then fine tune it up top.

i was going to mention that it is a combination of those two cable postions.
if that doesnt work, look at the actual clutch plates and friction plates.... not too hard - just a couple hours work
