Here ya go. This is from way back when she was stock. Either the plastics are bowed or the fairing is bound up up front where it tucks into the secondary panels. I would remove that side and see if the fairing is still bowed. If not, re-install it and see if it lays down.

Thats stock? I bought a stock rear when I got my bike (legalities etc) and it had a giant shovel type guard on the back (I built my own smaller one instead of bolting that abomination back on).
