Can I just say...
I went out ridin the 1000 today and I really miss my 954... it just handled so much better. The 1000 is definitely faster in a straight line but that really doesn't matter to me... when I was going through some turns today I was lifted off the seat and I felt like the bike was just so stiff through the turns... it felt like the movements were just less fluid. I'm constantly worrying about pushing too hard or not hard enough... I feel like I'm always over correcting then readjusting...
It's like a TV where you can't find the right volume ... either too loud or too quiet.
Hoenstly I may be just bitching a bit because I haven't gotten used to the bike, but it's still a damn shame that 954 handled as well as it did out the box.

My friend had the 06 1000 before his 954 and he said the same thing. He would have to hang off the 1k to get it to turn where as his 954 now, it justs "wants" to lean and turn almost effortless
