2002 Honda 954..

salvage title but all put together

friends bike - bought it a few years ago, i put it back together for him..

20k on it..

told me 3k.. debating it.. but i still want 1000rr..

what think people

not new to bikes or the 954, most of you people remember/know my name on this section.. just thought i would bring up something to talk about

3k for a liter bike is cheap, i would have to seriously consider it. Ride it for a bit, clean it up if it needs and flip a profit on it later

 

Kind of hard to low ball a friend. But with a salvage title hard to give alot for it no matter the condition. I paid $3500 for a clean title 3600 mile 954 in really good condition. You could always get a clean title frame and swap it in. I love my 954, I have ridden a few 1000rrs, don't know that I like them as much. Haven't rode the new 1000 yet, that will happen this year though.

 

I guess it depends on what year 1kRR you want. Me personally, I don't think I'd buy a 1000RR older than 2006 as I prefer the 954.

Truth be told, buy both!

 

ya that is what i was thinking.. he doens't need to sell it, he just brought it up that he would give it to me for 3k cash.. i said i will think about it.. also ya i want a 06/07 1000rr ONLY.. rode a few.. damn nice.. saw that u could get a 06 for about 5-6k in the winter so maybe i will wait.. i guess we will see..
