Default RE: bike wont start!!!

Today, I was popping wheelies in the neighborhood, and once i came down kinda hard. The throttle completely went out then the engine just shut off. Luckily, I was close enough to coast home. I tried to start it all the way homebut it didnt work. Just starter noise. When i got home, i tried it again and noticed that the fuel pump wasnt priming when i turned on the ignition. I checked the fuses, and thats what it was. Changed it, and now its all good. I was wondering what could have caused it to blow the fuse? Does this mean I hae a loose wire somewhere? Where should I check?

Not too hard. I was in 1st, and powered it up. Came up fast, got scared and let off the throttle. I have come down harder before. I was thinking maybe something is loose. I just dont know where to start.looking. For a fuse to blow, Either the power touched a ground or touched something it wasnt supposed to, right? Maybe a wire is frayed down in there somewhere or something. My fear is to be on a long ride, or a hard ride and the same thng happens. It could have just been a freak thing to tell me to keep both wheels on the ground. If anybody knows the 954, its you and vp, so ill always ask you 1st.

ha well thanks..ummmm hard to say like i said without looking at the bike and stuff. i work the best that way but i would look at the controls and check all the wiring..... fuse would got lose.. jared when u hit the ground.... so many posibiltys but ya if u got a short that will cause a fuse to blow... give it a once over and for piece of mind, get a extra fuse or two and keep them with for a little while

yea that is one indicator of a blown fuse, had to have grounded out somewhere and instead of fryin ur wiring it blew the fuse. follow the wiring from the ignition fuse and look. also the fuse box has a place for spares so if there is no spares buy some and store them in there or in the trunk(i like to keep little crap like fuses, black tape, etc on hand just in case somethin weird happens or a friends acts up). it seems like bikes do some weird random stuff but maybe its just me.
