Default best exhaust?

what is the best exhaust to get? i have an '03 954. right now i have an erion slip-on, but its long as hell and i want to get a shorty put on, but dont know which to get. i want it to be loud, but not ridiculously loud, and i want more of a low throaty sound than than a super high pitch sound like alot of sport bikes have. i dont really care too much which pipe will give me the most power out of it, im just looking for the best sound. everything on my bike is stock for the most part. thanks.

If your looking for some low end grunt the jardine is probably going to be your best bet. It is loud but not as loud as the D&D exhausts. If your looking for something that is not quite as loud as the jardine but is still loud micron makes a pretty good pipe with some lower end grunt.

What TK said, though obviously I did the D&D myself. You know I'm around a ways away, but it's not mice in a tin can noise.

It's hard for me to tell since I wear a full helmet. I ride frequently with my dad who has a big Harley and he wears basically a skid lid, just the half helmet. We got on this straightaway with no traffic where the speed is 65. He was going about 70 and so I dropped back about 1/10th of a mile, then popped it to pass him as quick as I could with both tires down and when I passed his head whipped to the side. I slowed down and he was smiling like crazy. When we finally found a stop light I asked what he had been laughing about, and he said he about shat himself when he heard a crazy loud noise roar up on him.

I think I'm gonna borrow his helmet and go for a ride just to see if it's as loud as he said.

Want to give another shout to Tennbanshee here, really knows how to make a bike beautiful.

Stunt i never re-mapped after i cut mine down. I didnt notice any performance change what so ever. Thats not to say that in a perfect world you shouldnt get it re tuned. I just dont think that 6 inches of pipe make that much of a difference.
