Default Before & After pics*

Ok, so I just added a few more parts and I wanted to post the "before & After" photos. Any suggestions are highly invited. After about 40-50 hours of wrenching on this bike and about a grand total of $1300 this is the finished product. The bike has been in an accident (obviously) and only has 25k miles on it. I knew NOTHING about bikes before I took on this project on. NOTHING HAHA...I love riding and enjoy the challenge of rebuilding and learning how to tame this beast on the road. Trying to take it slow but it's really hard to when you are behind the handle bars. Took me about 5-6 months from beginning to now. Obviously this will never be done so here is the present verison of my ride. Thanks.

That **** turned out nice, really. You did a damn good job. Add some red to that tail tho. I think that will give it even more pop....good job bro.

Excellent save!! When you cut the pipe down what differences did you notice in sound level and esp Tone?

great job smoore. i love re-builds, you learn a ton, get to get your hands dirty, and by the end you have a great finished project with almost no money in it.

It doesn't make an extremely big difference in sound. It is noticeable but mine added a higher pitch to it. As long as you shorten everything and put it back together you will add a small change. Now if you gut it completely thats a different story. I usually wear ear plugs when riding....

@txs couldn't have done it without your parts, thanks for the intake covers. Yea, I agree the tail needs some more red.

@TheBrock IMO I think it's a bit louder and the tone sounds a lil more "meaner" if that makes sense.

@Conrice yup, and it's def rewarding too, but saving $$$ is the goal...thanks for the inner fairings.
