any ideas on where to get a battery? last one i replaced was on my gixxer and it was like 35bucks. the replacement for the 954 is 100bucks. WTF!!

 

100 bucks isn't even alot... try a dealership.. they want close to 200... if u can get one for 100 taht's good.. if u have a battery's plus by you.. they are about 80-90... can try a walmart.. or a fleet farm or something like taht but i am not sure what they have..... but consider it a expsense and move on

 

I just got one today but i am an auto tech and i got one thru interstate, i paid $68 for a factory style sealed battery, i would suspect that over the counter would be around $100. I can also attest that Walmart or Fleetfarm do not stock them as i checked around. You could try Napa also, they could order me one next day and was like $50 my cost so prolly like $70 over the counter maybe.

 

I got mine at Batteries plus. I think they have an internet spring special that'll run you 65. I walked in and paid 75.... oh well[sm=bs.gif]

go to walmart. get the one for the cbr900. fits and works just fine. whole lot cheaper

 

does it? i called wal mart yesterday and they said they had one for the 98 900 it was only 50bucks. i didnt actually go look at it, just assumed it would be bigger and bulkier. i dont really wanna mess with ebay cause i would like to just get it and go home and charge it up, put it in. is there any benefit to giving it a full charge before installing it?

fits in just fine, 929 and 954 have the same battery numbers. i got the walmart battery in my 929. they say you should charge them before installation but most people dont.

 

got the wal mart battery. 55bucks did a test fit seems to fit but looks a little high like the seat may not go on correctly. when i get a chance i will throw it in put the seat on and see if it actually does fit. thanks for the info on the 900battery hope it works out.
