Any of you guys protect your frame w/ carbon ?
By frame i really mean where you knees would go when riding the bike, it can often rub a bit and i have seen some bikes with the dark grey/black frame paint faded there.... my bike has only done 5,000 miles so want to keep it '' un rubbed '' for as long as possible. I was thinking of say a sheet of carbon and then cutting it down to a strip etc and puting it either side .... anybody do anything similar ?

There's a company that makes cf frame guard for many bikes. My German is non-existent but they didn't have the 954 listed as one of the bikes. Just the 1000rr and CB 1000.
So yes, it's been done. It's actually a popular mod for the bmw s1000rr. The frame can get anywhere from uncomfortably to unbearably hot, especially on the left side where the engine vents more.
