Default Any experience with pilot power pure?

My rear tire is shot on my 954. I was running a pilot power 2ct and thought I would try out the pilot power pure this time around.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this tire on a 954.?

Are you using your bike as a mostly track bike ?? ... like just occasionally blasting it around ??? ... The Pilot Power or a 2ct would give ya a lil longer life if you ride it everyday like I ride mine ... and the side compounds of the pilot road 2's and 2ct's are the same as the pilot power tires ... Just tryin to give ya some ideas to get more from your skins for your money ...

Im on my second set of Pures. Great Tire! Trackdays or spirited romps. They are very sensitive to pressure though. Once you get them dialed in for you and your ride. You will never look back!

I dont believe that statement is true.

The reason for the 2ct is so the tire has a better chance of wearing evenly and giving maximum grip while doing so.
So Im pretty sure the sides of the PP or softer then the PR.

Here is a chart from Michelin:

talked to track racers and riders of 30+ years about the 2ct's. one laid his new duc over with a 2ct on the back because when the transition from the two compounds starts to go, you get slick with no grip. Like a race tire that is worn, it has no traction. they are mechanics that have owned more bikes than i am old(19) and if they say its sketchy, i take their word. I have a 2ct on the back now but i will never have one again. if its a around town bike that sees little aggressive riding, they are good. But if you are trying to get the bike over, they dont seem to be the safest for that. just my 2 cents
