I read in an earlier post that the 954 has an anti rollover. I have an 03 and it is not a california bike, does anyone know if this model has one? I have done stand ups but not high enough to hit the balance point ( about 10'clock) and it has not shut down on me. Any truth to what i have heard?

 

yes most certainly this is correct at the 11 30 point the bike will shut down and will not be able to restart untill brought to a honda dealership for reprograming thats why you can't get a 12 o'clock bar for the 954 you have to get a 11:20 bar any further back than that and its done

 

Thanks 954guy! i also have heard that with a couple of transistors i can bypass this. Is this possible and about what is the the balance point on the 954? (highway speeds)

I've seen videos of 954RR's with 12 bars... DOING 12's!!! And it keeps on purring along with no problems what so ever!

I would highly consider checking your references / sourses for your information before posting such BS online.
Unless you enjoy making people feel like idiots when they go ask a real honda tech or someone actually knowledged in Hondas!

yes you are correct the anti rollover device i beleive he is refering to is the bank lean sensor that shuts the bike off in the event of a fall over has nothing to do with wheelies or stoppies just side to side

 

there is a antirollover, which is in the front, little box under the gauges.. it's a like a u shaped metal thing with a ring that slides on it, and when it gets to far to one side or the other it shuts it off, there is also a sensor in the event of a fall over, when that happends all you need to do it set the bike upright and let it sit for 5-10 mintues and it will start right up

 

So you can still do wheelies?

 

ya i did plenty of wheelies and stan up wheelies with my 954.. dont worry, just be safe and practice

 

I've done 12's with my bike and I haven't had it shut off on me. I do know that it has a tip-over switch.

 

yes a tip over switch, for side to side, you can do wheelies just fine, who the hell told u that u had to go to a honda dealership to get it to turn back on 03954guy?? cause if anyone did that they got screwed in the ***, no need what so ever
