Another new-to-me 954 has arrived!
Well, I still have a 2002 954 that doesn't run correctly...haven't figured it out yet. However, turns out a good friend of mine had a highly modified 954 that he wanted to sell before deploying again, and we came to terms on it.
So, please welcome another 954 to my growing family! It's also a 2002 model with similar mileage (23k) but has been very well cared for by an enthusiast. It has lots of mods including full exhaust, PC3, GPR steering damper, larger rear sprocket, and plenty more. This one was dyno-tuned at 152 whp and is very clean!
Anyway, this is apparantly my somewhat odd-ball way to deal with a CBR that doesn't run! I haven't given up on the silver bike though...this red one just fell into my lap.

Thanks guys...it's definitely great to have another 954 (that works). Once the Triumph sells I can finally start putting real effort into diagnosing/fixing the silver/black one.
Now 2 of my 3 bikes have come from great friends. The only one that didn't is the silver/black 954, but I'm still hopeful that it's not too serious in terms of what is wrong with it. It will be fun to have one stock and one modified example of the same bike I think!

Yeah, still working to find a shop that I actually want to do business with. The nearest reputable shop hasn't exactly endeared themselves to me, and I found another one close by which admitted they didn't know foreign bikes so there is no way I'm going to take a chance.
I have to tow the bike at least 25 miles to get it to a capable shop at this point, and it just hasn't been my highest priority. Still, now that I have another 954 sitting next to it, I'll feel a bit more confident taking it apart (have 2 shop manuals now too, LOL) and will dig into a few things before throwing in the towel.

Good luck pal, the red ones looks like the same colour scheme as the UK bikes, the silver and black one is not, i have a lappis blue and white one, which i think was a unique colour only available in the uk.... i think. Lovely bike and just about to go out on it to have a paint pen made up to match my frame..... bloody stone chips !
