Okay okay.... I'm gonna bite...
YOU SHOULD BUY MINE! yes, its for sale at a competitive price: 2002 honda CBR 954 RR 954RR
It's clean... a former award winner -haha- and is a victim of me just wanting something new after 7 yrs of ownership.
Shameless plug on my part? Yep.. sorry!

New member here, but not new to bikes. Looking at an 03 myself with 30,000k on it. Owner says it's well maintained, mature guy, asking 4500$.
My concerns about 954s:
do they overheat in slow traffic,
are they as hard to work on as I've heard (spark plugs, air filter),
gas mileage ok?
My hayabusa was terrible in slow traffic with the stock rad and fan, but nice to work on.
Just hoping to get some feedback before tomorrow night when I go see it. thanks guys.

30k and he wants $4500? A little high....unless you have Ohlins front and back! : )
The 954 does not like to sit still for too long. She will get warm.
Mileage isnt the best. 100-120miles on a full Tank is what I get. But mine was not tuned for economy and my Brain seems to think I need to wring it out quite a bit....
Maintenance is not a problem for me. But the 954 is very compact. Body panels can be a pain, but once you have pulled them a couple times. Memory and patience makes it alot easier.

Haha, yea I worked out a deal that I couldn't refuse =) Which was probably the biggest reason I ended up pushing forward with the sale. It'll all be over soon, probably tomorrow morning haha

THe S1000 is a baaaaad bike man. There is one local here that is right around the price of the SF I'm looking at. I've considered that one a few time as well haha. Just not sure if I want another pure bred sportbike in the stable again. Kinda venturing out.
Those are PVM 10Y-spoke forged aluminum wheels with the outer lips polished.
