acceleration kit

Default acceleration kit

has anyone done the acceleration kit with 15 tooth front sprocket, and 44 tooth rear, with 520 chain???
which is a -1 +1 change???? anyone dragged with this, and what are the top end losses..??

ive also had the idea to get a lightened flywheel.... anyone done this???? and what company's make them??


lots of questions i know... thought id add it all in one post

i did the 15 and 45t rear on my 929. had the 520 w/ alum rear but it wore out way too fast. switched back to the 530 w/ steel rear same gearing though. im not Racer X so i didnt notice a difference.The thing is wheelie happy now. love it! ive never hit the top end on mine yet. been close speedo said 177 and its 10-15mph off at that speeds. getting close to redline. havent dragged yet, gotta get a chain gaurd first.

i did the -1 and +2 .. liked it but if i did it again i would stick with stock for normal riding...... i did also try -1 and +5 .. liked that for 4th gear stand ups

i must be confused but going up in teeth on the rear will increase torque not speed.
so; acceleration kit? what is that?

good luck keeping the front end down!! i got -1? (i think)in front 15and +2 (i think)in back 45 i am not sure what stock is! it wheelies ALL THE TIME!! i thought i had stock gearing until i actually counted them. havent gone to the track yet but i am sure it will be interesting. i will post #s as soon as i get them. weather here will be crappy for a couple more months so be patient!!

I did it on my F3 and hated it, you are constantly shifting when riding in town. I would personally just go down a tooth in front and leave it at that.

it's stamped on the outter side.... stock is 16/43 so a -1 +2 is 15/45
