How does the 954RR and the 929RR do vs the 600's? in a flat out race and just overall?

the 600rr is more nimble but doesnt have the torque that the 929 (954) does.

to turn a 929, you just gotta shift your weight ever so slightly. to turn the 600, you just gotta think about it.

i did notice that the 600 runs at a higher rpm to stay in the power band.

after riding an 08 600rr for a few days, i couldnt wait to get back on my 929! i like that feels like theres a bike under me.

That's good to hear, do you think the 08 600rr could beat the 929?

It will take quite a few years for the 600 class to have similar HP as our 929 or 954.Current 600 are around 110 hp,where 929 stock has about 120 and stock 954 has about 130.Now a more experienced rider on a 600 can smoke novice riders on liter bikes all day long.

I'm just asking about power to power, in a straight line race who wins a 954 or a modern 600....

929/954 would probably be around low 10's 1/4 mile and the newer 600's would probably be about high 10's 1/4 mile (With a good rider)

But as mentioned you put a good rider on a 600 and a novice on the liter the 600 will probably win.

well I'm just talking straight line, it's not really that hard from a 20 MPH roll to redline every gear and just hold straight, I would think the 954 would smoke most 600's even newer ones.

With the same skill leveled rider, yes, the 954 should win everytime in the 1/4 mile.
Not smoke it but beat it.
