I would not expect a slight slip of the clutch at 5k-6k to do very much damage at all. It is not like the bike is being redlined and thenhaving the clutch dumped. Now that Icould see that being damaging to not only the clutchbut theengine aswell. With respect to your experiences and what you have said, I am going to have to remain kinda skeptical on this. The only reason is I have not really heard of thishappening. I somewhat baby my bike and am actually curious as how damagingit can beto do occasional wheelies. I have heard that being on one wheel for an extended distance can cause the engine to not get the oil it is supposed to, seeing the oil is at the back of the pan. I am sure that there are some bad *** riders outthere who can doa lotmore damage to a bike justbyriding itto it's limits on a track. Thanks for the info on where to get an engine, you never know!
You say clutch less till 45 50, is that in first or sec?
That titanium looks sweet![/align]

im wouldnt say the 954 basket is flawed but i think it may be weaker than other bikes .. my clutch went out from serious wear and tear as did my friends. i did a few hundred wheelies at that point and like i said i was trying to pull it up while hauling ***. in fact it did pull up and come on plane before i heard bee's buzzing around my engine.. but 1st or 2nd no clutch .. im more comfortable in second from 35-45 though.
