A little update, I did a couple pulls on the dyno today and the two bros down load I put on the pc is still a crappy map, its slightly better than without, but not by much. I have to get a custom map.

ive found that the erion bolt on and oem or after market air filter down load is working best for my bike.

That doesn't necessarily surprise me. I remember someone on fireblades.org testing maps, testing with no pc, testing other simple parts, etc. - and he found that the map from the factory is much too rich.

Have you looked at any of the values on the OEM maps? Are there a lot of -'s in front of the numbers?

what do you mean oem maps? where can i find those? maybe you mean the the map it came with out of the box. there is a map number on the side of the pc box itself.

good point though. when i find some i'll check out the values and see if they are on the leaner side.

I down loaded the completely stock map on the pc this morning. I can't believe the difference in the way it runs now! HUGE difference. I wasn't able to open it up all the way on the interstate be cause of a bald rear tire that is getting replaced this week. So I stayed on secondary roads. But, when I left home I imediatly notice how much smoother and responsive it was running. But, let me tell you how I found out exactly how much better its pulling now. Lol, I was in second gear about to pass a wehicle in front of me when I gunned like I normally do the front end came up with ease and a little head wobble (almost tank slapper)! Damn, I'm glad I can rest easy now. Hopefully this map will suffice until a custom tune. Now I know why one of the first mods people suggest on these bikes is a steering damper.

Finally figured out the full exhaust map down works best for my set up. I have the d&d full exhaust one on mine.

Good, how's she running now?

Test drove it last night and it was riding like ****. The fuel/ air ratios are off with the map I installed. I'll try another full exhaust I guess. Plugs were all messed up, looking fouled. Two had ashy white tips from lean. Thinkingit needs a custom map.
