Default 954 motor needed

[:@]Soooooooooooooooooo, I finally took the beast to a mechanic and the crank is fried. Mechanic showed me the metal shavings in the oil. Cheaper option is going to be just to find a good used motor. If anyone is selling a 54' motor or knows who is selling one then here I am. Post or pm if anyone has some info.

I appreciate fellas.

Well, I bought the new motor on ebay and it is going to be shipped tomorrow. I pray all is well with it. If not then I need for you guys to start pitching ideas for me to painlessly end my life. (lol)

I was wondering. The mech that has my bike says he will install this motor for $500-$600. That bout' right?

Hey Diablo ive had like 2 or 3 buddies buy motors from ebay with no issues. Have seen one that bought one and it was from a stolen engine. The cops said something and he was like I paid for this Sh*t, I want my money back I didnt steal it, they left him alone! Just as long as you were using paypal you will be good, ive dealt with situations and there good about handling situations. Good luck, why not rebuild the old motor and resale it?

Yhea I completely rebuilt my 88 for about $800 and she runs Like new. Winters coming take your time get a paper copyof, the manual and go to it. Experienced guy can do it in a week but I took my time scrubbed and polished a few things, sparyed a bit of paint, and I couldnt be happier. I intended on selling her when I got the 954 but just can't do it. You get a special bond with them once you;ve seen their privates. Good luck

HI Diablo

you say that your crank is fried... how much, where and what happened to your engine?

I have a 954, with some fine hairline scratches in the bottom of the cylinders, and i'm not sure if this will kill my engine, and is so, when... no metal shavings in the oil...

is this the same you have seen?

Thanks...

/Jan
