Default 954 fast idle help,

Hey guys so I've got a 02 954rr with 11k mi had it for awhile now and never really noticed that my fast idle isn't working only starts at normal idle so it's a little hard to start when cold, my 600 had the adjustment for the fast idle with a manual screw but I quickly found out this 954 does not and I can't figure out how to adjust the fast idle or what could cause it not to work

Warm curb idle it set with an idle adjuster ****'cable. Cold idle is set by the coolant temp controlled wax unit.

I know that much, is there any way to adjust this unit or tell tale signs it's gone bad

Pretty rare to go bad. Check the linkage that it's connected to. The base setting is fast idle, with it pulling the idle down when warm coolant passes through it. Someone may have done something to manually bring down the idle speed.

It doesn't do anything at all I can turn down the idle adjustment so it's barely idling when it's cold and start it but it never raises rpm at all so it's not working at all. I'll have to take the tank off tomorrow and check the linkage
