Can anyone please give me some insight Into a quality fairing kit to buy. I hear things all the time about injection mould compression mould abs and other things. I just want a quality kit with factory red and black colors

 

If you're talking about the kits you buy on eBay, I don't care which ones they are, they won't be as good as OEM. If you have a factory set right now, take them to a shop and get an estimate on repainting them. There are decal kits out there which any body shop could put on.

The issue with the aftermarket kits is that its a thicker ABS plastic that doesn't flex as well as the OEM kits do. They tend to crack.


Now, I used one and I was satisfied with it, although things did go wrong with it. Tabs cracked, the paint faded and chipped quickly, but those were issues I expected.

If you want the best, repaint some OEM fairings.

 

i agree on what Conrice said. i prefer buy another kit but oem and change color than buy kit of fairings that problably are from Cina
