I'll get the Power Point going here soon..

ORIGINAL: TK954RR

ORIGINAL: CBRinPDX

swap the air filter for a BMC (better than K&N and it's rechargable)

Prove it
(The race shop told me so, they win so often.. I believe them)

If you want to save some money get a quality slip on and a Hass eliminater.that way you get afull system that was designed for the bike....With a few other mods my bike dynoed 150hp/70lbs with this setup im very happy with it.

F-It go custom like I did, you'll be more satisfied if you do your own thing....... Maybe I should order that Hass eliminator and a PCIII and dyno tune...maybe in the future. Hey Brooklyn with the Hass Eliminator is there a way of getting rid of the servo motor and bypass the sensor? I know as soon as you disconnect the plug you will probaly get a FI light.

Why not just leave the servo? I don't think you need to cut weight that bad, do you? If you really don't want it, maybe a jumper wire will trick the sensor...

The servo is still there you just have to make sure you dont turn it or you will get the fI light.I just removed the cables along with the valve.

Unless you are a major track enthusiast, the half system (with HTEV) will be just fine for you. Believe it or not, the stock headers are actually better than some of the aftermarket sets. (Begin the bashing) The full Arata system works very well on the 954. Make sure you remove the snorkels, flapper and swap the air filter for a BMC (better than K&N and it's rechargable), don't forget the PC and DYNO tune.
Ok, a noobish question, what are the Snorkels and flapper?

No problem Trent,
The snorkels are the two rubber tubes sticking out of the front of the air box. These go into the ram air tubes (it's not really a ram air system) which are the black plastic pieces connected between the gas tank and the front fairing.
The flapper is an air flow control system inside the air box, mainly for emissions. This flapper is connected to the same servo as the HTEV valve in the exhaust system.
Hope that helps you out!

Yep, sure does. I know what you guys are talking about. So, I can remove the snorkels and the flapper and then just replace the air filter with a K&N? Or is there some sort of aftermarket kit to use for the air filter?

I suggest a BMC race filter vs K&N. I assume you have at leaset a bolt-on pipe. (if not, get one) Get, if you don't have one, a Power Commander and custom dyno tune. You'll probably like a 15t front sprocket.

I have a yosh stainless bolt on. That's about the only performance mod i have atm. I plan on upgrading the sprockets/chain next. Planning on going normal in front and +2 on the back. Probably a driven set. Heard mixed results about the vortex gear.
