Default 3000 rpm bike has a different sound

Got a question...not a big issue but if its fixable.........I've had this bike a few months now and ever since I've had it, when riding, it doesn't matter what gear I'm in but when it hits right on the 3k rpm mark, it goes from a higher sound to a deeper sound. No change in power or performance. Don't really hear on heavy acceleration. I've changed the plugs in it a while back but no difference. But like I said, no big problem but if there is anyone else that has delt with this issue, what is the solution. Thanks.

I think they all do that. I forget the reason, but mind does it too.

Wow. That's blows. Did not know that. Not a big deal but gets a little annoying. Thanks for the feed back.

A balanced and blueprinted rebuild will fix it right up! You go by that spot in the rpms so fast on hard acceleration that you don't feel it.

This is normal operation of the servo motor that controls the flapper in the airbox and the exhaust valve. When the flapper in the airbox opens you will get increased intake noise. This is the change in sound you are hearing at 3k rpm.

its your servo. also at around 7500 rpm it gets even louder. dont remove the servo (to sound deeper at lower rpms) because you will loose low end torque

It's normal noise(or music, imo). In traffic, with the tall 1st gear, I find myself pretty much in 1st gear a lot of the time. I'm slowly accelrating in 1st gear and I hear all the different sounds the bike makes as it goes through all the valve phases towards the higher rev range. I love it. My Yosh pipe and K&N really let me hear it all.
