finally got a chance to run against the GSXR 1000 and, with the 54 down geared it was.... awesome heh. I had to lay on the tank and be gentle with the throttle but i was gone. let off when my speedo was around 140 which is really about 90-100(down gearing throws off the speedo). but the GSXR was eating dust.

haha i know the outcome, He is a better rider than me and then put him on the faster bike, it will be even less of a competetion. He rode my bike and said that he was glad his was not down geared like that because its just too tempting at every stop and every corner. Im putting it back to stock gearing or -1 in the front though, I do a lot of long distance trips and i went 180 real miles(columbus to dayton and back) over the weekend and it read somewhere in the three hundreds on my trip meter and i cant have miles racking up at twice what im actually riding.

Good deal...although stock for stock the Gixxer has a better 1/4 mile time. High 9s or bottom 10s

o yea, stock for stock thats for sure. he would still beat me if we had a longer road too, id be topping out at a real low speed but in the short strech we had it wasnt enough time for that to be a factor.

Nice link. Amazing how the Honda sportbike line up has changed since '02-'03. From the 5-4, Blackbird, F4i, 600RR, Superhawk and VFR to the 1KRR, 600RR and VFR.
