whats up ppl.....does anybody know anything about a new 954rr that is suppose to come out some time in2-3 years??? i just heard of that **** to day and i dont know if its onlycheap talk or is it for real...

 

Considering we didn't know if Honda was ever going to release their 1000rr for 2008 I doubt that anyone can honestly forecast what Honda will do in 2-3 years.

 

o yea!!! so its possible that they are actually doing something.....

 

don't know why they would should themselves in the foot and reduce the engine size in a battle where we're already the least powerful literbike from the big 4...

Come on now vp, It aint all about the nuts my 954 has had its share of dusting off 1000's. Anybody can twist the throttle until it can go nomore but how many of those people can lay it on those little nipples that come on a brand new tire. I saw that video on YouTube when the dude went to the Honda HQ in Cali and im actually diggin that new 1000rr, the exhause would have to quickly get replaced tho. That 1000rr is weird but she has that honda sexy to her, im considering getting one but it would be sometime in late 2008. But I would love it if they brought the 954 out for the open class liter bike's, put a little more oomp in it and she would be amazing!

 

yeah but the thing is we're dusting off litre bikes of people who don't know what they're doing... big picture you need the best bike possible to get sales.

don't get me wrong, I love the 08 I think it's a really sick bike, but dropping the displacement for their high end bike seems really ignorant.

from a nostalgia standpoint, who wouldn't love a 954? I know I would definitely buy it. The problem is, we would probably be the only ones. in a world where people think their first bike has to be a 1000, not many people are going to be buying 950s. It's pretty much the same logic as riding a 750. Somebody out there buys em, but the 1k Gsxr is still the best selling zook.

I'm only talking about streetbikes here. The place where the companies make their real money.

 

Want me to buy a 2010 954rr? Make it look just like my 02, am i worried about a few cc's no. Just give me that inline 5cyl that Hayden has been rolling on, w/ about 185hp and i will put my money down today. If the 2010 Gsxr 1k makes 188hp i wont give 2 rats a$$
