Uh...wow. slghtly off subject, or not, but with pics like that you are gonna have to break down the parts list!!!! Do you think taping the pipes helped with the overall temp? And it seems like you would be the guy to ask, where can I get a set of those fiber frames covers?

yea you can not put a 1krr radiator on the 954...
I put the wheel into the radiator guard,
then bought a stiffer triple & stiffer forks
knocked the rake out to match the 1krr
but I still put the wheel into the radiator & popped it pissed all my fluid, on the last track day
I guess the engineers @ Honda had a reason for the half radiator
so after looking @ the beat up 54 radiators on the e-bay
I just bought a new one that will be here Tues
oh well I tried, its only losttime & $$
& learned that maybe engineers have put more thought into these bikes than I have
I put the wheel into the radiator guard,

helps w/ the larger pipe that tends to rub & burn plastics
keeps heat off the motor & my feet/ legs
looks cool
& all the stuff they say about wrapping, about increasing the velocity of escaping gasses...
the c/f frame cover is the crappiest qualityc/f on my bike
I got it off e-bay

the motor is stock
I am sure there is some other stock part, but I cannot think of it right now

the air-box is c/k/f, but the tank is aluminum 24 liters
I looked into making a c/f tank but having it lined w/ a compatible substance was a real PIA

Hello medic, I have been awed by your 1k radiator transplant and had been itching to do something like this. Would anyone be familiar with the 03-06 600 supersport radiator? The mounting tabs look very similar as does the fill cap to a 54. Have a look and let me know what you think.
