so my tranny is all f*ed up and my motor needs some work so i want to try something different if it's possible...does anyone know or has anyone tried swapping a 1000rr motor into a 954??? If it's not possible, does anyone know a good place to get or have a 954rr motor just chillin that they wanna sell lol ciz i'm not spending 2g's to fix my tranny and another 1k to fix the motor...

also, from what i remember reading the 1000 was completly redesigned, so my best guess would be, no it will not fit into a 954 frame. also, if it did fit, i am sure there would be a lot of swaps.

 

more then likely more work then to just fix the tranny or to sell the 954 and buy a 1000rr...

I talked to a guy that works at DGY locay dealer and he said it will not work with out doing alot of work. you would have to make brackets and cut the frame to make it fit so it is not possablewith out spending A LOT of time and money. It would be much cheeper to just buy a new bike.
