Just picked up an 03 cbr 954rr and I want to get a fender eliminator..I checked ebay and didnt find anything..Does anyone know where i may be able to find one?

 

Depends on how much money you want to spend....I have the Competition Werks and think it looks good. Just go to their website or Google it and you should be able to find it and many more.

 

I picked up a Hotbodies undertail on Ebay for about $80, but there are also these:

They look to be an exact copy. This eliminates your fender altogether and integrates the turn signals into the undertail. Huge improvement aesthetically, and really easy to install.

 

the one from competition werks looks good..Dunno about the polished look as the rest of my bike is black/gold..but it's definately the best i've seen... I guess the light from the tail lights keep the license plate lite up?

I just picked up and installed a clear LED tail light that integrates the turn signals into the light

NONONOBRO! Save your $ for tires and tickets. I bought my 03 954 new and thats was my first move. Look under the tail light and see where the whole *** pops off in like 4-6 bolts total including signals. Super easy once you look close. This leaves the tail pan intact. Where the fender and light assembly meets the pan are perfect spot for some non-star trek signals. Spend the $4 and get heat shrink tubing to cover your signals' connections. I curled my plate concave and wired it in just astern of the rear reservoir - law in B.C is "plate must be clearly visible from 15 feet directly behind" However, we're " supposed to" have it lit. Use the lead from stock one and run inside trunk to l.e.d. thru fit. Now you fold over or hack off mounts from rear 'flectors and those 2 hooks are handy for touring tie downs or cargo net. that bottom right picture is kind of decieving... I only have the tail light..and the plate..those two bulbs to the right and left of the plate..are not there at all.

The guy that had the bike though..has the license plate screwed into the undertail with wood screws!! I want to go ahead and replace that whole piece..and get something that will hold my plate.

I just replaced both tires..chain and sprocket.. Still want to get a tune up..oil changed, a new muffler (still has the stock one) and get that undertail..then i'll be good for a bit i think.

 

i would definitely go with the hotbodies undertail. i have one on my 929 and it is kick ***. here is a link to the 954 one on their website. ebay it and you should be good.

I may go with that undertail..

I wasnt going to, because i have the turn signals inside of the tail lights..HOWEVER i may be able to run both sets of turn signals off the same power.. Just gotta check into it

 

Stuff spending heaps of money on a bit of metal buddy, just make your own. I did!!

 

So has anyone installed one of these undertails? (hotbody) on the 954? It says cutting instructions.. Is there much, if any, cutting required to install this on the 954?
