did seats myself originally looking for croc skin.. talked to a textile distributor who recommended extra thick vinyl "snakeskin". holding up well to wear and tear.. probably have to replace every other season...

yo mark my servo is disconnected and like fuze said i get a very very slight hesitation from roll on in first, but dont bother me anymore i just give it a lil more gas and lil less clutch when takin off. hey mark one quick question where u get ur seats done at? peopleschamp is it somethin that bothers u alot? if not and u can manage there is plenty more life in the 54 than just 1-3k enjoy the higher rpms!

Mine has always kinda bogged / hesitated way down low too, think its pretty normal really. I did think it improved slightly though when i took my flapper off.
"flapper" is that thing in airbox under the filter? is it pretty easy to take off? any downfall?

Yea i cut mine out in like 1 minute (leave the wires) as far as i know no downfall other then the bike is a bit louder at low rpm's.

when i got my bike, it never hesitated...until i put a slip on. then when i changed the filter to the k&n it doesnt do it anymore. as far as the flapper...doesnt that help with the choke, or starting of the bike???

yeah, dont know why i used the word choke...sorry. but i always thought that the flapper controled the air flow going into the motor when starting the bike. not really sure. tk would probably know. but if there are no downfalls, i might cut mine also. all i know is that changing my filter opened it up eneough to fix my problem....hope it will help you also.
