Im right there with ya Mr. Ohio, im from Iowa. I bought my first bike around Christmas, wemanaged a 45 degree day a couple weeks after x-mas that i got to take it out. That was the last chance weve had here. The roads just got to much sand and salt or snow/ice on them. Hell, its beenrarely getting above freezing here. Not worth it. im going nuts

 

not really but made it work and still with all facotry controls.. and last night i bought a new front end (wheel w/tire,calipers,rotors,forks, upper and lower triple tree clamps) for $500 and bolted that on and now it runs perfect ... i was having issues with rubbing turns out one of my forks was ever so slightly bent.

 

Evan, you need a sparechrome (real deal)wheel for your bike!

Worth over $300 and I only want $125+ shipping ($35). I need the scratch to get my other wheels powder coated. If my girl knows I'm using "our" money it's gonna be my ***... and the wheels are already gone to the powder coater! Haha, if anyone wants this wheel, comes with rotor (not pictured, but straight and lots of life), just hit me up.

 

P.S. I haven't cleaned that wheel either. That's how she sits - I imagine a polishing job would restore luster to like-new condition. No gouges, scratches or knicks. Wheel has been mounted but babied.

 

Were having an IDEAL NYC winter so far.....went for a quick whip yesterday....I dont know what was better...theafternoon rideor watching the Giants take the Patriots....

 

well i broke mine out yesterday and saturday for a ride it was a little cold but totally worth it just need to get my new corbin seat ordering it on wednesday next week and ill be all set.

 

Got to love it last week the weatherman predicts 6" of snow and maybe an inch falls, today the weatherman predicts only 1" of snowand 4" falls! Atleast I get to play with the snow plow on my riding mower!

yea this weather sucks but oh well i just got most of the stuff to get her tuned up for the spring and a new chain guard, new seat, and it looks like im gonna need a new chain the moisture just killed it the bike sits in a garage but the garage is drafty and the chain is orange now anyone know any tricks to clean them up that arent to big of a pain?

 

I use chain cleaner and lube. I got that gunk brush and it worked well but it will still look pitted no matter what you do.

 

Im in Columbus and i was able to take mine out Sunday afternoon when it was like 50 degrees. I dont know whats worse, 0 days of riding or 1 afternoon of riding after you havent riden for 3 months. It makes you want to ride more.
