it should shine through, i've found instructions on how to smoke car taillights on various car forums i've been a member of, I think you need to use a special laquer or something

theres one on ebay noy for like 65$ thats where i got mine, but i didnt want smoked. i see them on there all the time usually for around 80$.

 

LOL Dunn, i saw that one, and got another one that is clear, but i wanted smoked.....the one you got was out of NY, right?

 

I thought that one was smoked. I dont remember where mine was from, all i know is it sucked cuz i had to un-intergrate my stock taillight and put it all back to OEM wireing to install the internally intergrated led light!
