Question What do you guys think? Some 929RR Info Please!?

Well I'm normally posting on the F2 threads, But since I might be getting a 929 I wanted to get everyone's input on this trade and some info on these bikes...

Long story short I have an 88 CRX Si clean title that is just getting repainted as we speak.. It's a motorcycle forum so I wont post a list of everything that is done to my car. Now this gentleman want's to trade me for a 00 CBR 929 RR.. Here is a list of mods and a picture as well...

What I want to know is, Is this a fair trade and I wanted a little info on what the goods and bads are on these bikes.. I ride a 93 F2 right now but I'm tired of carburated motorcycles... Too much adjusting and what not! I don't need anymore horsepower than I already have in my 600 but It seems like a good opportunity to get something a bit newer than my 93... What do you guys think? It is a SALVAGED TITLE though from a "low side" but the owner said everything was fixed and there wasn't any frame damage.. Just cosmetic... What do you guys think??

Let me get this right. Your trading a clean title crx for a salvaged, 50k mi. bike?
No, not worth it........move on. Mileage is too high, just my $.02

Yup. I know its 50k. But my car does have 280,xxx miles on it. Plus I got the CRX for a good price! I mean my car is almost 20 years old! And it just sits in my front yard! Ha.

Check with your insurance company and see how much its going to be to insure it.
But I think I would not do it. if you ever want to sell it you'll have a even harder time then trying to sell your CRX.

I'm not too worried on how much it will be, To be honest, I still live at home while I go to school so I don't have bills to pay... Yet! I was planning on selling my CRX to buy a newer commuter car and my F2 to buy a newer bike as well. Now I can just simply trade the Rex for a newer bike, Sell my F2 and use that towards the purchase of my newer civic or something... =)

I'd so it. 50k isnt high mileage really on a 10yo bike. Do not know wtf ppl get the notion it is lol.

This is true to a certain extent. You don't know how the previous owner maintained the bike, if they beat on the bike etc.

Ultimately it is your decision, but I don't like salvage titles no mater what it is.

true but thats with any used bike really. Low miles dont mean it was taken any better care of than a bike with 150k on it tho. And we all should know how easily insurance adjusters will total a bike out on cosmetics alone. I would definitely check it out thoroughly and make sure its mechanically sound.

And for the record, my bike has a savage title but you cant tell by looking at it nor riding it.

Sounds like a fair trade to me... A 88 CRX can't be worth more than $500 - 1,500...
