wow! .. you got one of the special 929s!
that is the transformer switch. if you press it at the same time as saying the appropriate word then the bike turns into a cr250

never seen it before .. have you taken the switch apart and see where it leads too ? it might be for some accesory like neon lights, heated hand grips, nitrous etc) .. but it looks factory [>:]

no clue, could like others have said for, but it not a factory switch, it looks like a generic on / off switch that was well installed!

Good install job from someone....

Did you check to make sure it doesn't kill the headlights ?

There's only 2 screws that hold that starter box together, i'd pop em out and see what kinda wires are in there...
