Default went down

So myself and some buddies went out for a poker run to raise money for a girl i use to work with who was diagnosed with cancer and has spread quickly through out her body, i believe shes 36. So as we are leaving one of the stops i decided it would be neat to ride a wheelie exit stage left style, this is nothing new to me i know my bike nery well and know what to expect from it, however in my hurried state of mind ( had to get it up where people were watching) as the front end started to come up in first for some un-godly reason i pulled in the clutch and popped it needless to say the next thing i saw was my bike 300 ft down the road on it's side banged my head pretty good then flipped on to my back so i could slide on my leather. Once everything had processed i got up walked to my bike ( still running ) picked it up put it in gear and rode it back to where everyone else was. To my suprise the damage wasn't as bad as i thought it would be the frame slider did it's job quite well, worst part on the bike was the front rim it got a healthy ding in it but never lost it's bead, and the tail section, ripped my tail light completly out and tore up the plactics around it. I was more mad at myself than anything for pullin such a bone headed stunt I KNOW BETTER!! but none the less the damage is done so if i learned anything from this experiance
1. leather and helmets are the greatest things on the planet.
2. anything can happen to anyone at anytime, no matter how good you are
3. 929's are built tough throw it down the street 300 ft flipping and tumbeling and it will keep on tickin.
4. showing off sucks thats when peoplp get hurt.
So if anyone has a lead on a front rim let me know pics of the damage can be seen @ myspace.com/ripper44, sorry this was so long just thought i would share.

Ripper, man...

That sucks sooooooooo badly. I know how you feel though, "**** the bike, why in tha **** did I do that!"

Man I've said that to myself so many times but usually on the dirt or something. Ah well, you're right too, anyone at anytime.

Gotta ask what the heck happened though? Were you accidentally powering up the front then tapped clutch? I can't imagine you're a power wheelie kind of dude with abike like that... They don't sound as cool as a clutch, either.

Glad yer okay man - have any ideas in mind for the next paint job? Surely you're not going to stay with the same scheme? not saying you couldn't, but I couldn't

Good luck buddy, always bad to see it, even worse when it's a ROTM!

TK, no this was a different ride that stars ride was a joke 25$ for me to ride and another 15$ for my girl to go with me plus 20$ each hand for the poker run and there was no cause for the ride as far as i know.

Kid as far as the paint i will be doin something different this time that was actually in the plans i just sped up the process LOL as far as power wheelies i do them occasionally usually i clutch it up in 2nd but i was in a hurry make no m,istake about it as nice as the bike looks it gets ridden like its suppose to and sometimes like its not damage is minimal more to my pride than anything, the thing that pisses me the most is out of all the people ( harley riders) that were standing out there watchng 1 person came over and asked if i was ok, so much for the brotherhood of two wheels i lost alot of respect fot alot of harley riding wannabe weekand warriors on sat
