Talking tune up time

sup guys i pulled my spark plugs out. my bike has 16800 on it the plugs are denso iridium plugs . are thoes oem plugs? they look some what worn its soo hard to tell considering the electroide is so small. also i looked at all the intake vavles and the right and left outer ones have some gunk on them. all the inner ones are very clean . the throttle bodys are gumed up too . im going to use some throttle body cleaner tune up spray to clean them. why are only the outer intake valves gunked up and all inners are clean ? calling all cbr 929 engine experts out there ! lol

The Denso IUH27D are the Standard/OEM plugs, and Denso IUH24D are Optional. I didn't feel like spending $25 a plug for the Denso's so you can use NGK CR9EHIX-9( I cross-referenced them), about $9 a plug(Advanced Auto).

About the intake valves, I have absolutely no idea. So I will end it here!

I have changed my plugs a couple of times and I find that, if you haven't done it, the tool that comes with the tool kit works pretty well. Hardest part is getting the plugs/plug socket out(if you use a craftsman, etc one). I always keep a telescoping magnetic rod thingy(<---- mechanical term) around in case the socket donesn't extract the plug all the way. Good luck and that info about the valves is helpful too.

i used 1/4 inch drive to 3/8 snap on wably spark plug socket it was easy thank god for snap on tools lol . did you notice a big difference with throttle responce after you did your plugs? considering mine were oem with 16800 miles im thinking it will be more responsive with new plugs im going to wait till about 20 k for the valves i only ride on weekends

Yeah i noticed it when I was running on 3 plugs and then I put 4 new ones in. I moved up from NGK CR9EHX-9 to the NGK CR9EHIX-9 and couldn't honestly say from new plugs to new plugs if there was a difference.

Awesome man. The NGK's are definately the way to go for the price. Denso's are just rediculously expensive.

They don't do anything extra. They just have a different name... you don't lose anything by going with NGK.
