Michelin Pilot Powers. I put a set on my bike after I got it (Replacing the Pilot Sports). Incredible traction and decent wear. Also, great wet traction (and you are in Seattle, LOL).

Tires are one place I personally don't let the pricetag drive my decision (bikes or cars), but rather the tire characteristics and performance. The only thing betwen you and the road is a very small contact patch, its worth having the best. Just my opinion tho.

And if you shop around the web, there are alot of good prices out there.

Just a quick question (seemed suitable in this thread), i've been running Pilot Powers and Diablo Corsa tires, and personally
the Michelins "felt" best. Im thinking of using Michelin Pilot Powers 2CT (The new dual compound) tires for my 929. Anyone tried
them yet? Im doing approx 20 track days during season.

The Pilot Power 2CT are THE best! I rode a 1000rr with them, and they are unreal. I guess you could say they are "confidence building". You feel like you can lean as far as you want to and they stick. If I needed tires right now, I would be all over those! If you are really going to do that many track days, get them.

Yeah, I'd like to know if a 200 will fit, too...

It'd be another 5 mm on each side - looks like it'd be close.

Just checkin in on this one again.......Can't help thinin my bike would look even cooler with a 200 on the back, although I'd probably be the only one to notice !!!

Has anyone tried this size tire on theirs? I measured the clearance on my swingarm....man it would be close with a 200, especially by the chain.
And another consideration, I guess, in this world of ours that is ruled by lawyers......... I would think in the event I had an accident with my 929 with a 200 on the back, the "other guy's" insurance company could make a stink over the fact that my bike had a rear tire that was out of spec. Anybody know what the legalities are on stuff like that? Yeah, I know there's a lot of mods goin on out there, but.........anybody who thinks I'm splitting hairs has never had a run-in with a lawyer.......

The only way a modification would result in legal issues is if the mod itself could be shown as a contributing factor to the accident.
